OU/UKLA Reading for Pleasure Conference
OU Reading for Pleasure Conference in association with UKLA. This conference will help you enrich your repertoire of children’s texts and create reading communities that connect and support young readers.
9:30am - 4:00pm Saturday November 7th, 2020
Reading for pleasure is a social justice issue. International evidence indicates it offers cognitive, social and emotional benefits, helping children make connections with each other, their teachers, families and the wider world. This conference will help you enrich your repertoire of children’s texts and create reading communities that connect and support young readers. The Egmont RfP Awards, Frank Cottrell Boyce and Norfolk Children’s Book Centre bookshop will enrich the day! Workshops led by OU/UKLA Teachers’ Reading Group members will share evidence-informed practice. To find out more click here.
This event has been re-scheduled for 7 November and tickets should be available when the current social distancing measures are relaxed. Please visit the Open University Reading for Pleasure website here.
